Country Lane

I saw this wonderful country lane and wanted to photograph it. It wasn't until later that I saw the deer. How smart they are.... crossing right by the cattle crossing sign!

Little Red Barn

I took this photo Saturday while in Eugene. It was a cold, rainy, windy day but I was determined to do some photography. I had seen this barn earlier and really wanted to photograph it. I loved the red and white stripes and the colorful roof! I hope you like it too.

Lensbaby Composer

I recently purchased a Lensbaby Composer which is a selective focus lens. I am finding it a little tricky to use. This is the first photo I took with it. I tried to focus on the center of the daffodil.

More from the Peterson Collection

There are 20 or more windmills on the property. There is so much "stuff" there that it is hard to separate items out. This one was easy with the blue Oregon sky as a background.

Gasoline, Anyone?

Yesterday I went with two friends to photograph the most amazing collection of all things mechanical. Many of them very old. There were hundreds of old tractors, washing machines, cars, gas station equipment, lawn mowers, windmills and much more. It was a treasure trove of items to photograph. This was one of my favorites.

Reflection

This glass wall of the hospital was reflecting the pretty clouds and sky which I felt was an invitation to photograph it.

Did you Know?

If you are a Canon shooter and want to attach extension tubes to your camera, you can set up the shot without the tube and then remove the lens while holding the DOF preview button. Add extension tube and then reinstall lens. Holding the DOF preview button causes the settings to be saved.

Pretty slick, huh?
