More Lensbaby

This is another of my Lensbaby images. I am determined to try to get this lens in control. I must practice and then practice more.

Getty Images and Time Inc. have opened LIFE.com, a new site that aims to share with visitors the vast digital photo archives of both companies. LIFE.com encourages free sharing of photos for “personal, non-commercial use,” such as e-mails, blogs and social networking sites. Some photos will offer a link for professional licensing that will direct potential customers to Gettyimages.com.

Lensbaby Composer Practice

I am trying to learn to use my Lensbaby Composer and I am finding it is not an easy lens to use. I hope that with practice I'll get better. I find it very hard to tell what will be in focus after you tilt the lens. Here is my third try with the lens.

Church Window

Hand held photo of Methodist Church window taken on last Saturday's outing. We were driving by this little church when I saw that they had some lovely windows. Luckily there was a gentleman there working in the grounds who took me inside to take some photos.

Horse

While taking photos across the street from a school, many parents arrived to pick up children. In this rural area, a couple were driving trucks with horse trailers attached. I was fascinated by this horse who was impatiently waiting to get out of the trailer. He was stamping his feet and was very restless.

This photo was taken with my IR converted Rebel XT. Since there is no vegetation or sky showing in the photo it actually looks like a black and white photo. It is really Infrared.

Just ran across a great link on the noupe blog. It list links to the 60 Most Wanted Photoshop Tutorials, Brushes, etc. I hope you find something you liked there.

English Daisies

This was taken the same rainy, windy morning as the catkins posted earlier. The rain was just starting so I snapped quickly then ran to the car protecting the camera with my coat and tugging along my Sammy on his leash.

Horse Portrait

He was painted with Corel Painter 11 for an assignment in the Wild Wild West Open Studio session.

It was a cold, windy, rainy morning when I was in the park with my dog and saw the catkins. I wanted to capture them but was afraid that the wind and rain would keep me from getting the photo I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the image in Lightroom and found it to be ok.

In the Digital Art Academy Open Studio we are doing the Wild, Wild West this time. He is my cowboy painting. Isn't he cute as a bug?
